about

The Italian director Fabio Farella met British filmmaker Lee Fields in 1973. At that time neither of them had directed their own feature. Together they wrote the screenplay for what would become Seven Times Around The Stones, Then Scream! In 1975, Farella enticed Italian production company Zarlenga Films International to back their project.

Filming took place in the UK on location in Devon. The stone circle known as The Dancing Druids, near the village of Darracombe St Piran, was used for the stones of the title.

Once filming was over, Farella took the film back to Italy for post-production. Just as everything was nearing completion Zarlenga announced it had gotten into financial difficulties and all work on future titles ceased as creditors, accountants and the courts swooped in.

Seven Times Around The Stones, Then Scream! was never released and has languished in a dusty vault - until now.

Although Farella passed away in 2020, Lee Fields is now hoping to give the film the release it deserves. This process is beginning with its soundtrack.

Music for the film had not been produced when Zarlenga pulled the plug. To solve the problem, Fields contacted The Burial Group and Linoleum Department and asked if they would collaborate and create the soundtrack now, almost fifty years since the film was made.

This is that soundtrack.

Enter a stone circle of psychedelic synthesizer sounds pulsing with fuzzed frequencies that reveal an acid red sky and the black shadows of the standing stones burning into your mind.

You cannot escape this electr-o-ccult cacophony. You are in the circle now. You want to freak-out to the sounds of The Burial Group and Linoleum Department.
